Land Bank Proposal Good For Hamilton County
Recently I had an opportunity to meet with Jim Rokakis, Treasurer of Cuyahoga County and prime mover in the bid to pass legislation authorizing the creation of Land Banks in Ohio. Locally the proposal has the backing of County Commissioners Todd Portune and David Pepper as well as members of Cincinnati City Council. The passage of such legislation would greatly expand the role of the County Treasurer whose participation would be vital to a successful implementation of a Land Bank.
